West Indies, on November 15 (Friday), announced Obed McCoy as a replacement for Matthew Forde for the remaining two T20 Internationals (T20I) against England. Forde is believed to have sustained thigh strain ahead of the third T20I.
Forder was initially part of the team as cover for the suspended Alzarri Joseph. Joseph took his place in the XI in the third T20I in St Lucia, replacing Forde, as West Indies lost the match by three wickets to concede the five-match series 3-0. The win also marked England's first T20I series win in the Caribbean since 2019.
McCoy was unavailable for the West Indies all this while as he was still recovering from an injury he picked up during the Caribbean Premier League (CPL). He last played for his country in August.
West Indies will look to salvage some pride from the remaining two games, both of which will be played in St Lucia on November 16 (Saturday) and November 17 (Sunday).
