In just his second T20I, 21-year-old Nitish Kumar Reddy scripted history as he became the first Indian to score 70+ runs and take 2+ wickets in the same T20I.
Before the second T20I in Delhi, in 231 T20Is India had played (excluding abandoned contests), no player had both scored over 70 runs and taken at least two wickets in the same game. But Nitish achieved the rare feat by hammering 74 with the bat and then backing it up with a two-wicket haul with the ball.

Nitish, who took the new ball alongside Arshdeep Singh, did not strike in his first spell but struck twice at the death. He first dismissed Tanzim Hasan Sakib in the 18th over and then removed Mahmudullah in the 20th over of the chase.
He eventually finished with figures of 2/23 in the four overs he bowled.
Earlier, in an extraordinary showing with the bat, the 21-year-old smashed seven humongous sixes en route a brutal 34-ball 74.
