Multan and Rawalpindi to remain as venues for England Tests: Reports

ECB have reportedly been satisfied with the conditions in both Multan and Rawalpindi

Ahead of the three-match Test series against England, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Mohsin Naqvi confirmed that all the matches will be played in the Pakistan only. Earlier multiple reports hinted that one of the three Tests could be played in the Middle East.

According to ESPNCricinfo’s report, Naqvi's spokesperson Mohammad Rafiullah has confirmed that Multan and Rawalpindi will remain the venues for the three-match Test series. One of the Tests was moved out of the National Stadium in Karachi owing to the construction work at the venue before the Champions Trophy 2025.

Given that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will host the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024, ESPNCricinfo reported that only Abu Dhabi remains a potential backup option for PCB in case of any emergency.

The first of the three-match Test series is set to begin on October 7, with the England team scheduled to arrive on October 2.
