Raghvi Bist made her T20I debut on December 17 in the second T20I between India and the West Indies in Navi Mumbai.
While the debut came because skipper Harmanpreet Kaur wasn’t fully fit for the game, Bist has been quite successful with the bat in domestic and A team cricket, and a debut was always on the horizon.
Born in the Changora village of Tehri district in Uttarakhand, both her parents are business owners and live in Japan.
She recently scored 205 runs in just three 50-over innings during the India A women’s tour of Australia (the highest) and has been a mainstay of the Uttarakhand side ever since she was a teenager. In the 2024/25 season, she has already scored 320 runs at an average of 35.55 with three half-centuries.
She also bowls decent right-arm medium pace and averaged 30.5 with the ball this season in List A cricket, although she hasn’t bowled much in T20 cricket.
Her solid credentials with the bat in the middle order also helped her get picked by the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) team in the mini-auction for the 2025 edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL).
At just 20, it’s just the start of a promising career at the top level for Raghvi, who’s a die-hard Rohit Sharma fan.
