MCA president Amol Kale passes away after cardiac arrest in New York

Kale was just 47 when he passed away with a cardiac arrest in New York

Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA)’s president Amol Kale passed away on June 9 (Sunday) with a cardiac arrest. Kale had travelled to New York and was pictured watching India’s narrow six-run win over arch-rivals Pakistan.

Kale was there alongside MCA secretary Ajinkya Naik and apex council member Suraj Samat. In 2022, the now 47-year-old was announced as MCA’s president, defeating Sandeep Patil for the top job. Under Kale’s guidance, Mumbai lifted another Ranji Trophy title, besting Vidarbha.

Not just that, Kale was also influential in doubling the fees of domestic players and played a key part in erecting Sachin Tendulkar’s statue at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
