The 2024 T20 World Cup is over, and it’s time to focus on the upcoming bilateral series. There’s still going to be enough T20Is but the focus will largely be on the other two formats, keeping the 2025 Champions Trophy and 2023-25 World Test Championship in mind.
Here is the list of all the men’s bilateral series, involving big teams, that will be played this year and at the start of 2025.
Five T20Is - (July 6-14)
1st T20I, Harare - July 6
2nd T20I, Harare - July 7
3rd T20I, Harare - July 10

India, who won the 2024 T20WC, have sent a young squad to Zimbabwe. Meanwhile, Zimbabwe have left out Ryan Burl, Joylord Gumbie, Ainsley Ndlovu, Craig Ervine and Sean Williams and named Belgium-born Antum Naqvi in their squad.
Three Tests - (July 10-30)
1st Test, Lord’s - July 10-14
2nd Test, Trent Bridge - July 18-22
3rd Test, Edgbaston - July 26-30
England’s first Test against the West Indies at Lord's will be James Anderson’s last Test. England have named Surrey wicketkeeper-batter Jamie Smith and Nottinghamshire pacer Dillon Pennington in their squad.
England are currently at the bottom of the WTC points table, having won only three of their 10 games so far in this cycle. Meanwhile, the West Indies are at No. 7, with only one win in their four encounters.
Only Test, Belfast - July 25-29
Ireland are set to play their ninth Test, having played their last against Afghanistan in February this year. Zimbabwe too haven’t played a Test for almost 17 months.
India tour of Sri Lanka
Three ODIs and three T20Is
India are supposed to travel to Sri Lanka for three ODIs and as many T20Is in the last part of July but the schedule hasn’t been announced yet.
South Africa tour of West Indies
Two Tests and three T20Is - (August 7-27)

South Africa finished as the runners-up in the 2024T20WC but are languishing at No. 7 on the WTC points table. They have only played four Tests so far in this cycle and lost three of them.
