Kerala Cricket League 2024: All squads, schedule, where to watch, fantasy & more

The inaugural edition of the Kerala Cricket League (KCL) will begin on Monday, September 2. This T20 tournament, which will run until September 18, will feature six teams: Calicut Globstars, Alleppey Ripples, Aries Kollam Sailors, Kochi Blue Tigers, Trivandrum Royals, and Thrissur Titans. 

All six teams will face each opposition twice, and after the 10 group stage games, the top four will qualify for the knockouts. The Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram will host all the games of this tournament. 

Earlier, players were drafted into the six teams through an auction. 168 players went under the hammer. M. Sajeevan Akhil was the most expensive buy, at 7.4 Lakh. 

Moreover, the six teams also selected one icon player each, with Mohammed Azharuddeen playing for the Alleppey Ripples, Rohan S Kunnummal for the Calicut Globstars, Basil Thampi for the Kochi Blue Tigers, Sachin Baby for the Kollam Sailors, Vishnu Vinod for the Thrissur Titans, and Abdul Basith for the Trivandrum Royals.
