Mohammed Siraj walked off the field on day two of the Gabba Test, leaving the Indian fans worried. The right-arm pacer, who was in the middle of a stellar spell, walked off the field clutching his left hamstring or the back of his knee midway through his over.
Siraj was in the seventh over of his spell, where he troubled the Australian batters - Marnus Labuschagne and Steve Smith. Against Smith, in particular, Siraj looked threatening with an inside edge saving the ace batter from being trapped right in front of the wickets.

During that spell, the Indian pacer was involved in a tussle with Labuschagne and even changed the bails from its groove at the striker’s end, leading to a heated conversation between the two.
However, when he began his seventh over off the second ball, the 30-year-old had to walk off the field with the help of the physio. While he bowled well during his spell, Siraj did not have any sort of impact on the clash, going wicketless, conceding 28 runs off his 10.2 overs.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has yet to confirm the severity of the injury to one of their lead pacers.
