History scripted in Delhi as seven Indian bowlers take a wicket

Prior to tonight’s game, there had been seven instances of six different Indian bowlers taking at least one wicket in a T20I

The Suryakumar Yadav-led Indian side created history at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on October 9 (Wednesday) as for the first time ever, seven different bowlers ended up taking a wicket for India in a T20 International.

India, under Gautam Gambhir, have been high on all-rounders, and the second T20I against Bangladesh saw Arshdeep Singh, Nitish Reddy, Washington Sundar, Varun Chakravarthy, Abhishek Sharma, Mayank Yadav and Riyan Parag all take at least one wicket each.

The record was scripted when Nitish, who took the new ball, picked the wicket of Tanzim Hasan Sakib in the 18th over of the chase.

Prior to tonight’s game, there had been seven instances of six different Indian bowlers taking at least one wicket in a T20I. The last such instance also came against Bangladesh, in the Asian Games last year.
