Three-wicket hauls for Vidwath Kaverappa (3/23) and Manvanth Kumar (3/38) ushered Hubli Tigers to a comfortable win against Kalyani Bengaluru Blasters in Match 9 of Maharaja Trophy T20 on Monday (August 19).
Kaverappa vindicated the decision to bowl under overcast conditions, picking two wickets in his first two overs with the new ball, removing Mayank Agarwal (first ball duck) and Bhuvan Raju (1 off 4 balls) cheaply. Manvanth picked Gnaneshwar Naveen (1 off 3 balls) in his first over, fifth of the innings. At the end of the powerplay, Blasters were 51/3.

The Impact Player, Thippa Reddy (47 from 37) and Krishnan Shrijith (41 from 35) added 81 runs for the second wicket off 59 balls which laid the foundation for a comfortable chase.
