Forget Helicopter Shot, MS Dhoni Might Even Scoop Bowlers In IPL 2025
Chennai Super Kings will start their IPL 2025 campaign against Mumbai Indians at Chepauk on March 23 (Sunday)
Former India and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni is training hard for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, starting on March 22 (Saturday).
Meanwhile, the Yellow Army will start their IPL 2025 campaign against Mumbai Indians (MI) at Chepauk on March 23 (Sunday).
The 43-year-old wicketkeeper-batter’s trademark shot is the helicopter shot, but MSD was seen playing a scoop shot in one of the training videos posted on IPL’s official social media accounts.
It’s a shot Dhoni has hardly played in his career, but it could all change in the IPL 2025. MSD’s strength has always been hitting boundaries down the ground.
Last season, Dhoni only batted in the death overs due to a knee injury but still smashed 161 runs at an average of 53.66 and a stunning strike rate of 220.54.
In the same video, Dhoni was also seen practicing range hitting and sent quite a few deliveries over the fence.
