Fariha Trisna might have played just seven WT20Is. Still, she is already a holder of a unique record, with her second career hat-trick in the ongoing clash against Australia in Dhaka, ending with figures of 4/19.
The 21-year-old pacer picked up the prized scalps of Ellyse Perry, Sophie Molineux and Beth Mooney to complete her second hat-trick. Bowling the final over, the left-arm pacer was hit for a boundary before she ran through Australia’s lower-order, with Mooney walking out at No.9.
In addition to that, she became only the second bowler to pick up a T20I hat-trick against Australia. New Zealand's Anna Peterson, for the longest time, was the only bowler with a hat-trick against Australia with her show in 2017.
Trisna became the first woman from a full-member nation to pick up multiple hat-tricks. The left-arm pacer picked up her first hat-trick in the clash against Malaysia back in 2022 at home in the Women’s Asia Cup. She also became only the third player to have multiple hat-tricks across all bowlers, alongside Uganda's Concy Aweko and Hong Kong's Kary Chan.
On that occasion, the left-arm pacer picked up the wickets of Winifred Duraisingam, Mas Elysa and Mahirah Izzati Ismail in the sixth over of the innings to complete her hat-trick.
