Players to watch out for

Kagiso Rabada: The 29-year-old speedster has been a beast for South Africa with the red ball. Since 2023, Rabada has 28 wickets at 18.1 runs apiece. The next best pacer on the list, Nandre Burger, has less than half of Rabada’s wickets (11) and did not feature in the first Test. If there is any amount of zip in the wickets for the seamers, Rabada will exploit it to the fullest.

Alick Athanaze: The young left-hander was the savior for West Indies in the first Test, scoring 92 on Day 5 when the hosts were tasked to bat through the day to save the match. He scored 92 off 116 balls and tackled Keshav Maharaj, the Player of the Match, with his efficiency in playing the sweep strokes. Although he averages 27 in eight Tests, he is earmarked to be a long-term red-ball player for West Indies.

Jayden Seales: The right-arm seamer was the highest wicket-taker for West Indies in England, picking 13 wickets in five innings. Seales has picked 36 of his 50 Test wickets at home, averaging only 21.8 runs per wicket with a five-for. In the first innings of the first Test, Seales picked 3/67 at an economy of 2.7.
