Players to watch out for
Glenn Phillips: The New Zealand all-rounder has their best batter in the tournament so far. he scored 40 off 33 in the previous game against West Indies to give his side hope, while against Afghanistan, he was just one of two players to get into double figures. While he has had very little to do with the ball, he could be a handy wicket-taking option as well, other than being a powerful hitter in the middle overs and the death.
Trent Boult: Need powerplay wickets? Call Trent Boult. In T20s this year, the left-arm pacer has picked up 21 wickets in the first six overs - most after Fazalhaq Farooqi (22). He has picked up his wickets at an economy rate of 7.6, striking once every 24.6 runs and 19.4 deliveries apart. He could be quite a handful for the Ugandans.
Cosmas Kyewuta: That yorker to get rid of Sherfane Rutherford is perhaps something Uganda pacer Cosmas Kyewuta will remember for many years to come. He has certainly been one of the positives for his side in the World Cup, having scalped five wickets at 16.80 to go with an economy rate of 7.52. If there's one bowler who New Zealand will have to be wary about, given his ability to generate pace and extract bounce, is certainly Kyewuta.

Uganda batters have shown susceptibility to quality pace and swing bowling in the early stages, making them candidates to become victims of Boult, Tim Southee, Lockie Ferguson and also Matt Henry if he makes the XI. They have lost the matches in the powerplay itself with scores of 21 18/5 vs Afghanistan and 22/5 against West Indies, while in their win over Papua New Guinea (PNG), they found themselves 25/4, chasing 78 in the first six. If they manage to get out of the powerplay with less damage, they certainly have a chance to bat the 20 overs out and post a decent total.
