Players to watch out for
Ibrahim Zadran - The 22-year-old is not your typical T20 batter, someone who can operate at a strike rate of 140-150. Zadran, however, is someone who will give you runs on a consistent basis, which is exactly what you need in fantasy cricket. In T20s this year, the right-hander has scored 627 runs across 20 innings at an average of 36.88 and a strike rate of 118.5.
Rashid Khan - The ace legspinner didn’t have a great Indian Premier League 2024, picking up only 10 wickets at an average of 36.7, but can easily trouble Uganda batters. They are not used to facing someone like Rashid and the 25-year-old could easily run through their batting line-up.
Alpesh Ramjani - Uganda’s rise from nowhere is certainly a fairytale that would be told for years. At the centre of that rise is Ramjani, who was nominated alongside Suryakumar Yadav for the ICC Player of the Year award. The left-arm spinner has picked up 65 wickets since 2023 – the most – at a staggering average of 8.40 and a mind-boggling economy rate of 4.58 in 34 matches. His 55 wickets in 2023 were also the most by any bowler in a calendar year.

Azmatullah Omarzai vs Alpesh Ramjani
Omarzai has struggled against left-arm spin in 2024. The right-handed batter has an average of 11.8 and a strike rate of 90.4 against them and has gotten out to them four times in 14 innings. Uganda have Ramjani and could use him against Omarzai. In fact, Afghanistan have quite a few right-handers in their line-up and that will make Ramjani’s life easier.
