Mild tremors were felt at the Queen's Park Oval in Port of Spain during the Under 19 World Cup Plate league semifinal between Ireland and Zimbabwe. According to a report by ESPNCricinfo, the earthquake off the coast did not affect the play but television cameras were shaking for few seconds.
During the fifth ball of the sixth over by Irish spinner Matthew Humphreys, the commentary box had felt the ground shaking which commentator Andrew Leonard acknowledged on air. However, the play on the ground was unaffected by the rumbling and the broadcast remained uninterrupted.
