After a disastrous showing in the ODI World Cup 2023, Pakistan get their white-ball domestic season underway with the Champions One-Day Cup 2024. As many as five teams — Dolphins, Lions, Panthers, Stallions, and Wolves — will participate in the 14-match tournament. The tournament will run from September 12 to 29. This is one of the three new competitions introduced by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to bridge the gap between domestic and international cricket.
All the matches will be played at the Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad.
Saud Shakeel (Dolphins), Shaheen Afridi (Lions), Shadab Khan (Panthers), Mohammad Haris (Stallions) and Mohammad Rizwan (Wolves) are the captains of their respective sides. Babar Azam, who is Pakistan’s white-ball captain, will not lead any of the sides. He will play for the Stallions under Haris.
