TEAM COMBINATION
Both teams have a different approach to the game. Barbados Tridents will be banking on their spinners and as for the Patriots, they rely on pacers to finish their job. As a matter of fact, Ish Sodhi is the only reliable spin option for Patriots. Looking at both team lineups, our suggestion would be to pack your fantasy team with quality bowlers. One wicket-keeper, three batsmen, three all-rounders and four bowlers would be a suitable combination.
Considering the poor form of Shai Hope, Johnson Charles would be the preferable option for the choice of wicket-keeper. Evin Lewis is definitely one of the batsmen of choice. With four spinners in the Tridents predicted XI and considering Lynn’s struggle against spin, his selection isn’t advisable. Mitchell Santner, Ashley Nurse and Rashid Khan are the preferred choice of spinners. The Tridents skipper, Holder, himself has seen success off lately with both bat and bowl. Sheldon Cottrell and Alzarri Joseph alongside Sohail Tanvir will take over the bowling for Patriots.
INTERESTING MATCHUPS
It is no secret that Lynn struggles against the spinners. Rashid Khan is a bowler who has troubled almost everyone. Lynn has face Rashid in 7 innings and has got out to him on 2 occasions at an average of 20.5 and a strike rate below 100.
Lynn has had issues against Raymon Reifer too in T20s, In the 2 innings he has faced him, he has been dismissed in both the innings.
Nurse has the ability score swift runs at the end of the innings and Sheldon Cottrell is one of the death over specialists. In this contest, Cottrell has been all over Nurse in T20s. In the 6 innings that Nurse has faced Cottrell, he has been dismissed three times at an average of 2.0.
SUGGESTED CAPTAIN

SOHAIL TANVIR: Tanvir has a good record against the Tridents in CPL. In the 10 innings he has bowled against them, he has 19 wickets at an average of 13.8 and balls/dismissal ratio of 12.5. The 19 wickets is the most a bowler has taken against Tridents in CPL. The left arm pacer is certainly a top buy.
EVIN LEWIS: Evin Lewis’s decent record against the Barbados Tridents is a positive sign for the Patriots. In 11 innings he has played against them, Lewis has scored 252 runs at a staggering strike rate of 151. Among batsmen with more than 150 runs against the Tridents, Lewis strike rate against them is the 4th highest. On top of it his overall record against leg spinners and the left arm spinners is an X-Factor that will push him to be one of the hot picks.
RASHID KHAN: Rashid Khan in T20s is an ace choice in the fantasy team. The leg spinner has played only one season and has picked 14 wickets at an average of 19.4 and balls/dismissal of 20.0. Since 2018 in T20s, he is the highest wicket taker with 178 wickets at a balls/dismissal ratio of 16.7
