Cricket Australia’s (CA) senior selection committee of the men's team has named a 13-man squad for the T20Is against Pakistan. However, they did not name the captain as all the Australian team's Test stars were rested, keeping in view the Border-Gavaskar Trophy that will follow the T20I leg of the Pakistan tour.
Josh Inglis, Adam Zampa and Matthew Short are in consideration for the captain’s position even as Glenn Maxwell is part of the squad, reported Cricket.com.au.
Andre Borovec, who also coached the side in a five-match T20I series against India in December 2023 when regular coaches departed after the ODI World Cup win, will coach this side.
The ODI squad, though, remains filled with Aussie stars and will be led by regular captain Pat Cummins. It will feature Mitchell Starc, Steven Smith, and Josh Hazlewood, among others.
