Ajaz Patel, who had picked up all 10 wickets in an innings in Mumbai three years ago, broke yet another record on November 3 (Sunday). With the wicket of Ravindra Jadeja, the Mumbai-born spinner now has 23 wickets at the Wankhede Stadium, the most against India at an Indian venue. He achieved this feat on Day 3 of the ongoing Test against India in Mumbai.
He has pipped England's Ian Botham, who who at 22 wickets at the same venue.

18 - Richie Benaud, Kolkata
17 - Courtney Walsh, Mumbai (Wankhede)
16 - Richie Benaud, Chennai (Nehru Stadium)

Ajaz picked up a five-wicket haul in the first innings as well and now has four so far in the second innings, too. In fact, all of his fifers in India have come at the Wankhede.
Coming into this match, the left-arm spinner had managed just four wickets in three innings in the series, but he is already on nine in Mumbai, with a chance to pick up yet another ten-for. New Zealand went into this match with an eight-wicket and a 113-run win in Bengaluru and Pune, respectively.
India need 147 to win the final Test in Mumbai to avoid a whitewash. They were reduced to 29/5 at one stage before Rishabh Pant and Jadeja steadied the ship to keep the hosts in the hunt. India have never been whitewashed 3-0 at home before, although, their last whiteash of any kind was a 2-0 defeat at the hands of South Africa in 2000.
