Shamsi leads the charge
Tabraiz Shamsi pup up yet another Player of the Match performance with his figures of 3/27, accounting for wickets of Kyle Mayers (35), Roston Chase (52), who put on 85 for the second wicket, and Sherfane Rutherford (0) to restrict West Indies to 135/8.
West Indies lose Russell at crucial juncture
With the spinners bowled out, Andre Russell (15) seemed to be in the mood as he took down Anrich Nortje in the 17th over, smashing the first two balls for a six. He was unfortunately run out in the next over before he could do any more damage.
Motie's 20-run over
After the West Indies had picked up three wickets in the first six, Rovman Powell threw the ball to Gudakesh Motie and that proved costly as Heinrich Klaasen smashed him for 20 runs. From 73 needed off 11 overs, the equation came down to 53 off 10.
Chase gives South Africa a scare
Chase not just rescued West Indies with the bat, but returned to pick up three vital wickets in the end to give his side a chance.
He started off with the wickets of David Miller (4) and a well-set Tristan Stubbs (29) before rounding it off with the wicket of Keshav Maharaj (2).
Jansen's calm finish
Marco Jansen (21*) was already involved in an on-field collision with Kagiso Rabada (5*), but finished off the game with the fast bowler at the other end.
He came into bat with 30 more required off 32 deliveries and showed great calmness and game sense to take his side home.
