Litton Das falls early
Das couldn’t continue in the same flamboyant way as the last evening on the morning of Day 4 and got out trying to play a cut close to his body against a delivery from Naseem Shah that lifted from the back of a good length to take his bat’s edge.
Mushfiqur Rahim, the old warhorse
The 37-year-old became Bangladesh's oldest Test centurion and added 91 more runs. He played 341 deliveries on his own, and his 191 runs, the highest for a Bangladeshi in Pakistan, played a massive role in Bangladesh's 117-run first-innings lead. He also became the Bangladeshi batter with the most overseas Test tons (5).
Here are all the stats from his innings.
Mehidy Hasan Miraz’s brilliant hand
Miraz played with a lot of confidence for his 77 off 179 deliveries and had a record 196-run partnership with Mushfiqur, which is the highest partnership in Bangladesh’s history for the seventh wicket or lower.
Pakistan’s three drop catches
Pakistan bowlers and fielders were made to field for 167.3 overs, and it began showing in their body language after the second half of the second session, as three catches were dropped. Babar Azam dropped Rahim just after he reached his 150, Rizwan shelled Miraz’s catch when he was on 51, and later, Agha Salman dropped Miraz again at 70 in the slips.
Nervy end to Day 4
Bangladesh scored 565 in their first innings, and Shoriful Islam was bang on the money to dismiss Saim Ayub caught behind in the third over of Pakistan’s second innings. Skipper Shan Masood and opener Abdullah Shafique continued to be seriously tested for the remaining seven overs and did well to return unscathed at stumps with Pakistan trailing by 94 runs.
