That concludes the proceedings for this thrilling match. On Saturday, 19th March 2022, India Women take on Australia Women. It promises to be another close game and the match will begin at 6.30 am IST (1 am GMT). You can join us in advance for the build-up. Until then, it's goodbye and cheers!

Stafanie Taylor the skipper of West Indies Women, says that Shamilia Connell is stable now. Tells that when it happened, it was sad to see her go down but they regrouped and finally managed to get the job done. Adds that they have to be consistent with the bat, that is the order of the tournament. Tells that they need better batting efforts. Says that Afy Fletcher was brilliant and she has worked really hard and it is good to see her hit her straps. Adds that their batting is the concern and they have to be clear to themselves about getting better in that department.

Nigar Sultana the skipper of Bangladesh Women, says that she thinks it was a very close match. Adds that all their bowlers were incredible, but she is disappointed with their batting. Mentions that they failed to build partnerships and she should have played till the end. She says that they have to work on this going forward. Informs that they were planning to utilize the conditions and their bowlers managed to do that.

Hayley Matthews is the Player of the Match for her outstanding spell of 4/15. She says that they are obviously a bit worried about Connell going down on the field. Tells that she is a fighter and will be back strong. Mentions that they didn't have enough runs on the board and they needed to create something with the ball in hand. Adds that the spinners bowled well as they all contained the batters really well not allowing them to take the easy runs. States that they played many ODIs in 2021 and that has helped them to keep up with the pressure situations.

Stay tuned for the presentation...

West Indies Women have won their third game of the tournament and they have grabbed two vital points. It's been sensational from them! West Indies Women came out to bowl in some positive intent. Their bowlers were right on cue from the word go. They grabbed a wicket in the very first over and made sure Bangladesh Women do not get away with a big partnership. All their spinners were disciplined, they hit the right area and were rewarded with the same. They did well to grab wickets at regular intervals, and always kept Bangladesh Women under pressure. Hayley Matthews was certainly the leader of the pack, she ended with 4 wickets and gave away just 15 runs in her spell. Afy Fletcher was impressive as well, she picked up 3 wickets in her spell. But it was Stafanie Taylor who took the matter into her own hands and grabbed the final wicket in the final over. Overall, it's been a scintillating performance from West Indies Women!

Bangladesh Women put on an exceptional performance with the ball but failed to chase the target. They had a golden chance here to cause another upset, but they would be disappointed ending up on the losing side. Bangladesh Women did lose two early wickets in their innings, but Fargana Hoque and Nigar Sultana fought back and rebuilt the innings. However, they could not hold on for too long and they perished soon. Once they were dismissed, wickets started to fall in a cluster, Salma Khatun did try to steady the ship, but she too failed to go on till the end. All hopes of Bangladesh Women were on Nahida Akter, who played a vital knock of 25, but she too could not help her side clinch victory.

Phew! We have witnessed yet another nail-bitter in this exuberant tournament. This game certainly went down the wire. But it was West Indies Women who held their nerves and have come out on top in this low-scoring thriller! Bangladesh Women tried hard, they did all they could do, but unfortunately, could not get over the line.

Play halted! Shamilia Connell is facing some issues. All players run towards her. We hope she is alright. Simon Doull, on-air informs that there is an ambulance waiting. Not sure what exactly happened there to Shamilia Connel, but we hope it's nothing serious. The medical staff is on the ground helping Shamilia Connell. She gets up on her own, holding her stomach, and gets into the mini ambulance. She is being taken away. All the players are in their position and we are ready to resume.
