We got pretty much what we wanted: Rohit on two-day clash against PM XI

Rohit, however, rued the fact that India didn't get to play the full game because of persistent rain

India’s two-day clash against Prime Minister’s XI did not get off to the best of starts, with much of day one washed out. However, on day two, the clash, which was converted into a 46-over clash, provided the visitors with a very good platform to practise against the pink ball.

In the 46-over clash, India were comfortable victors by a margin of six wickets, where their openers KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal looked confident. However, there were some concerns over Rohit Sharma's form, with the Indian captain, who walked in at No.4, having yet another bad outing.

But overall, the visiting skipper was pleased with the opportunity, stating that the team got pretty much what they wanted.

“Yeah, it was fantastic. We got what we wanted as a group,” Rohit said. “But we were a little unlucky that we didn't get the whole game. It was washed out the other day. But whatever time we got, we tried to make the most of it, and we got pretty much out of what we had in front of us,” he added.

However, the rain on day one didn’t really deter the Indian fans, who walked in huge numbers on day two, leaving the Indian skipper pleased.

“It's absolutely fantastic. You know, we love coming to Australia, and we love watching our fans come and support us. You know, there has never been a time where we've come here and, you know, the guys have not turned up for us. So it's always nice to see people coming and supporting us. India,” Rohit added.

The focus now shifts to the pink-ball Adelaide Test, which begins on December 6.
