The fifth edition of the Abu Dhabi T10 League is set to kick off on November 19 when defending champions Northern Warriors take on Delhi Bulls in the opening game. Team Abu Dhabi and Bangla Tigers will face off in the second match of the opening day.
The tournament will have 35 matches played across 15 days at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi, with each team playing each other twice before the top four sides advance to the qualifiers scheduled for December 3.
Similar to the Indian Premier League, the first and second placed teams from the group stage will face off in the qualifier, with the winner advancing to the final. The losing team will have a second chance to make the final by facing the winner of the eliminator between third and fourth-placed sides.
Warriors will have England duo Moeen Ali and Chris Jordan in their ranks while Delhi Bulls will feature West Indies great Dwayne Bravo and England's World Cup winning captain Eoin Morgan.
"We can't wait to get started with another thrilling edition of the cricket's fastest format, and to witness some of the best players in the world here in Abu Dhabi," Abu Dhabi T10 chairman and owner, Shaji ul Mulk said in a release.
"The Abu Dhabi T10 promises to deliver a thrilling two weeks of cricketing action and we are excited to welcome back UAE cricket fans to the stadium as we close out a historic cricketing calendar in the country."
Former Indian all-rounder Yusuf Pathan will feature for The Chennai Braves who will take on Deccan Gladiators on the second day.
