Steve Smith Reveals Who Annoyed The Team Most During South Africa Washout

Both Australia and South Africa were handed a point apiece following a washout in Rawalpindi

Australia have been involved in EVERY washed-out game in the ICC Champions Trophy since 2013. One of them came against their most recent match against South Africa in Rawalpindi, where the weather did not allow even the toss to take place.

As a result, both teams were handed out a point apiece, are on three points from two matches. South Africa beat Afghanistan in their first game, while Australia brushed aside England.

Steve Smith, who is leading Australia in the Champions Trophy, said Marnus Labuschagne was the most annoying player in the team during the rain break. "Oh, Marnus. Well and truly," Smith said when asked about who the most annoying player in the dressing room is on days like this.

"He was wandering around the room, trying to bug every single person. Some of us were just trying to sit out and do a crossword and things, and he'd just bug us the entire time."

Speaking of Australia's next match against Afghanistan, Smith said, "They're a dangerous side on their day like every team in this tournament. I think that's the beauty of this tournament, with the eight best teams coming up against it. Anyone can have a good day. So, we're going to have to be on next game."

A win over Afghanistan will assure Australia a place in the semi-final. The same applies for South Africa as well: all they have to do is beat England in their next match to assure themselves of a top four finish.
