India’s T20I captain, Suryakumar Yadav, will be available for Mumbai’s last two league fixtures of the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, the Times of India reported on December 1 (Sunday).
The star Indian batter missed the first few games due to a personal issue (his sister's wedding) but is now set to join the Mumbai set-up on December 2 (Monday).
In his absence, Mumbai won two of their first three encounters and are playing Nagaland on Sunday, a team you would expect Mumbai to beat comfortably.
Mumbai’s last two league games are against Services and Andhra on December 3 and 5, respectively. If Mumbai qualifies for the knockouts, SKY will also be available, considering India is currently busy playing red-ball cricket in Australia.
Suryakumar recently led India to a 3-1 series win in South Africa. The right-handed batter, however, couldn’t do much with the bat, managing scores of 21, 4 and 1, respectively, but impressed everyone with his captaincy, though.
