When Mohammad Rizwan walked in at 388/5 in the first session of Day 2, Pakistan had control of the Multan Test, with England being frustrated by the 64-run stand between Saud Shakeel and nightwatchman Naseem Shah.
Rizwan and Pakistan had the opportunity to really pin the visitors to the mat and put up a mammoth total on the board.
However, things turned out to be anti-climactic for the hosts as Rizwan ended up registering a 12-ball duck. Rizwan gave Jack Leach the charge, hoping to be aggressive, but just minutes before lunch, he ended up finding Chris Woakes at mid-off to depart for a duck.

It’s the fourth duck of Rizwan’s Test career, with his last duck coming in March 2022 in the Lahore Test against Australia.
Incidentally, it’s the slowest-ever duck by a Pakistan wicketkeeper at home and, overall, the second-slowest duck by a Pakistan wicketkeeper in Tests.
Slowest duck by a Pakistan wicketkeeper in Tests
13 balls - Wasim Bari vs Australia in Sydney, 1973
13 balls - Kamran Akmal vs Australia in Perth, 2004
13 balls - Kamran Akmal vs India in Kolkata, 2005
12 balls - Mohammad Rizwan vs England in Multan, 2024
In the fine form he was in, Rizwan not troubling the scorers was a bit unexpected.
Pakistan went to lunch 397/6, making it England’s session, with the pitch still not doing a lot.
