Following her impressive performance against Australia, England all-rounder Nat Sciver-Brunt becomes the top-ranked batter in the latest ICC rankings for the first time in her career. The 30-year-old has pipped Australia's Beth Mooney, following scores of 129 and 111 in the recently-concluded ODI series, which helped her side win 2-1.
Moreover, she also increased the gap between her and Hayley Matthews to top the ODI all-rounder's rankings as well. Australia's Ashleigh Gardner achieved her career-best spot to move to third in the all-rounder's list and remains in the top five in the bowler's rankings, led by England's Sophie Ecclestone.
The ODI series between India and Bangladesh, which ended 1-1, was also considered in the rankings. Fargana Hoque, who became the first Bangladesh Women's player to score a century in the tied third game, attains 565 rating points, the highest from anyone from her country. She is also the first player from Bangladesh Women to break into the top 20 (19), thanks to her 107 in Mirpur.
Among the bowlers, left-arm spinner Nahida Akter's figures of 3 for 37 in the third ODI has seen her jump to 19th place in the ICC rankings for bowlers - the highest-ever ranking from her country - beating Salma Khatun, who attained 20th spot in December 2022.
Among Indian batters, Harleen Deol, who top-scored with 77 in Mirpur a few days ago, jumps 32 places to 51st, while Jemimah Rodrigues, who scored 86 in the second game to help India level the series, has also moved up 41 places to 55th in the batters rankings. Deepti Sharma is the only Indian in the top 10 in the bowlers and all-rounders ranking, while Sneh Rana jumps three places to 38th.
