According to a report by ESPN Cricinfo, the 31-year-old travelled to Mumbai for scans and visited one of the specialist consultants appointed by the board.
He is expected to return to the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru for rehabilitation in his bid to get fit for the summit clash of the World Test Championship Final against Australia starting June 7.
In the three games he has featured thus far in the tournament, Unadkat has leaked 92 runs without scalping a wicket. He is the second player after KL Rahul to be under the injury cloud for the Super Giants and the Indian side as they aim to go clinch the coveted trophy.
