India will defend their ICC Women’s U-19 World Cup title when they take on South Africa in the final of the 2025 edition of the tournament on February 2nd, 2025 at the Bayuemas Oval in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
India captain Nikki Prasad said that she would expect nothing less than another dominant show in the finale, like the one they demonstrated in the semi-final against England Women.
“I am really happy that we are one step closer to lifting the trophy. Every day someone or the other takes responsibility for the team. All set for the final. No nerves. We are excited and want to go out there and dominate,” Prasad said after the semi-final where India chased down 114 with five overs to spare.
Parunika Sisodia, who was the player of the match, also said that it was her wish and goal to win the final.
“I bowled more to batters instead of doing single-wicket practice. That helps me. I need a batter in front of me to try new things,” she said about picking three wickets in the semi-final. “That is the wish and that's the goal for all of us here,” Sisodia added about her expectations from the final.
