Former India, Pakistan cricketers to clash in World Championship of Legends

The likes of Suresh Raina, Ambati Rayudu, Harbhajan Singh and the Pathan brothers are also going to be part of the tournament

The World Championship of Legends, which begins today, July 3, in the United Kingdom, is building up to a high-profile game on July 6 (Saturday) at Edgbaston, featuring notable ex-Indian and Pakistani cricketers. 

The likes of Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina, Irfan Pathan and Harbhajan Singh (among others) will be up against the Pakistan Champions, who will have Shahid Afridi, Younis Khan, Misbah ul Haq, Shoaib Malik and many other erstwhile Pakistani stars featuring for them. 

The tournament, which will be played from July 3 to 13, will feature as many as six teams made up of retired cricketing stars from the West Indies, South Africa, England, Australia, India, and Pakistan. The first 10 games will be held at Edgbaston, while the remaining seven will be played in Northampton. 

The tournament will be played in a round-robin format where each side plays the other side once. The top four teams will qualify for the semifinals. 

India Champions begin their campaign against England today (July 3). They will then face the West Indies on July 5, Pakistan on July 6, Australia on July 8, and South Africa on July 10. 

Fans can watch the World Championship of Legends on Star Sports on TV and Fancode on streaming.
