Abhimanyu Easwaran will be leading India A in the two-day warm-up fixture & the first multi-day match against England Lions at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. The three-match unofficial Test series will run from January 12 to February 4, coinciding with the England Men’s tour of India.
The squad also features the likes of Sai Sudharsan, Rajat Patidar, Sarfaraz Khan, and Pradosh Ranjan Paul, whereas Pulkit Narang, Navdeep Saini, Tushar Deshpande, Vidwath Kaverappa, and Akash Deep manning the spin-bowling unit.
Most of the players selected for the tour were a part of the A team that toured South Africa and most of them now have been a part of the first round of the Ranji Trophy.
Josh Bohannon will be leading the England Lions side for the upcoming tour after the Lancashire batter dominated the run charts with an impressive tally of 1257 runs in the County Championship that came at an outstanding average of 59.85.
