The Aussie spinners at Trent Bridge broke the previous record of eight wickets in an innings that was created at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore against Pakistan in 2022

Matthew Short, Marnus Labuschagne, Adam Zampa and Travis Head etched their names in history books as they combined to pick nine of the 10 England wickets to fall in the first ODI of the five-match series at Trent Bridge, Nottingham on September 19 (Thursday).

This was the first instance in ODI history where Australian spinners picked up nine wickets in an innings. They broke the previous record of eight wickets in an innings that was created at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore against Pakistan in 2022.
