Right then, that’s it from this game but the action continues in the Abu Dhabi T10 competition. The Chennai Braves will take on the Northern Warriors in a short while from now. That game will begin at 10.00 pm IST (4.30 pm GMT). But as know, you can always join us early for the build-up. Until then, goodbye and cheers!
Rovman Powell, the skipper of Delhi Bulls says that it is a good habit to keep winning. Credits his team who came to the party and lauds the bowling unit. Adds that it is a short competition and keeping the winning momentum helps them. Ends by saying that the wickets are good in Abu Dhabi and it is entertaining to play in this format.
Richard Gleeson the player of the match says that it was a nice deck to bowl on as there was a bit of tacky-ness on the surface and that helped to get the wicket of Jordon Cox as well. Mentions that the wicket of Cox was key as he has been in good touch recently. Adds that the side is looking forward to the next game already as the games come in thick and fast and they have two games in the next two days.
Time for the Post-Match Presentations...
Not a lot to talk about the Bangla Tigers' bowling as they did not have a lot to defend. Joshua Little and Carlos Brathwaite picked a few quick wickets but the over from Benny Howell that went for 29 tilted the game completely in favor of the Bulls. Early on in the game, the Bangla Tigers could only manage 81 with the bat as Daniel Sams, and Carlos Brathwaite were the ones contributing to the score. A poor day for the Tigers who have suffered their second loss this season.
A thumping win for the Delhi Bulls here as they beat the Bangla Tigers by 7 wickets and with plenty of overs left. Chasing a lowish score of 82 for the win, the Bulls lost their openers de Kock and Charles early in the innings but James Vince got away some boundaries and put the innings back on track. After his dismissal, Rilee Rossouw and Rovman Powell finished the job with an unbeaten 61-run stand and made it three out of three for the Bulls in this competition.
