So, that is it from this game! The Sixers stormed to the finals. It is not all over for Perth as they will now play the Challenger. Their opponents will be decided after the game between the Heat and the Thunder which will be played on Sunday, 31st January 2021. The action starts at 1915 Local (0815 GMT). Till then, take care and goodbye!
James Vince is Player of the Match for his superb knock. Vince says that they were not sure how the condition will be when they went to bat. Says Philippe set the tone. Adds he takes the pressure off him. Says he is happy to contribute to the win but would've loved 2 more. Says 100 would've been more pleasing but he is happy to be there till the end. Wants to repeat what they did in the last year's final. On his performance, Vince says that they have got their bases covered and he is looking forward to the final at the SCG.
Credit to the Sixers bowlers. They did superbly at the start and never allowed them to get going. They tied them up in the first 10 overs with Steve O'Keefe and Carlos Brathwaite bowling economical spells. However, the pummeling from Inglis and Turner in the final 5 meant that they were chasing a stiff total. However, the breezy start from Philippe and Vince meant that they were never under pressure. Eventually, Vince along with Hughes made sure they got over the line and make it to the FINALS!
Earlier in the game, Scorchers opted to bat after winning the toss. Their start was poor as Roy and Livingstone departed early. Munro and Inglis calmed things down with a decent stand. Munro departed but Inglis continued. He along with Turner kept them going. They added 69 in the final 5 overs and took the team to a decent score.
The conditions completely changed we believe in the second innings! The wicket just seemed like a batting paradise, the dew made it a lot easier for the batters and a lot difficult for the bowlers. There was absolutely nothing on the wicket for the Perth bowlers and due to the drastic change in the conditions, one has to say, Scorchers were at least 20 runs short.
The Sixers have made a complete mockery of this run chase! The openers came out all guns blazing and smashed Scorchers' bowlers to all parts of the ground. 92 is what they added and more or less sealed the deal for the Sixers. Philippe did fall but he had done his job. Vince though continued with Hughes, the two ensured there were no more wickets to fall and took their side over the line.
Boos all around the ground as Vince does not get an opportunity to get to his ton courtesy, the wide bowled by Tye. Pretty sure it was not intentional as he himself looked dejected after bowling it. Vince though will be disappointed that he did not get to the milestone but he will be over the moon with the fact that he has taken the side into the finals on the back of his superb knock.

Andrew Tye to James Vince ,WIDE! Oh, dear! What a way to end the game! Vince will be stranded on 98 as he team win with an extra. Tye runs in and bangs it short. It is the slower one from him but the line is down the leg side. Vince lets it be. And the umpire wides it. Vince is shocked byt Tye quickly has his hands up in apology. However, Sixers win by 9 wickets and they are THROUGH TO THE FINALS!

Jhye Richardson to Daniel Hughes ,And Hughes leaves this one alone. A bouncer just outside off, Hughes lets it be. Chance for Vince to get to the well-deserved century. He needs two to get there. His team needs one to win.

Jhye Richardson to Daniel Hughes ,FOUR! Pulled away! A boundary now and the players in the Sixers dugout is worried. You know why? Because maybe, maybe Vince will miss out on a well-deserved ton. A short ball around off, Hughes pulls it over square leg and it goes to the fence. The scores are level.
