Josh Philippe has been awarded as the Player of the Match, for his amazing knock with the bat. He starts off by saying that the plan was to take it on in the first four overs and then take it as deep as possible. Adds that the Scorchers got off to a flier but they bowled well in the last 10 overs and they were happy with how they restricted Perth. Feels super relaxed and says that when he is relaxed, is when he plays his best cricket. Tells that there are always a few nerves but says that he likes to stay as calm as possible. Feels that Vince is very calm too and that it was nice to see him get into his groove as well.
Earlier after opting to bat first, Perth managed to get off to a flier as Liam Livingstone and Jason Roy stitched a 76-run stand for the first wicket but once Roy fell, it was just hara kiri in the Scorchers' camp as wickets kept tumbling one after the other. Only Livingstone managed to get to half ton as the team which was looking set to get to total in excess of 200 ended up with a par score of 163. Sixers, after being carted for the first 10 overs of the Perth's batting innings managed to make a comeback with the ball. For them, Brathwaite, Ball and Christian ended up with a couple of wickets but it was Brathwaite's 3 overs which changed the game on its head in the favour of the Magenta team. In the end, the Sixers managed to scale the target with 7 balls to spare to keep their top spot in the points table intact. Stay tuned as we find out who the Player of the Match is...
Perth's bowling was decent as they made the batsmen sweat for every run but they failed to pick wickets at regular intervals which pushed them out of the contest. Though, they managed to get a couple of wickets during the end but by that time the game was already conceded. Andrew Tye, their most experienced bowler was torn apart as he went for 41 in his three overs. Richardson, Ahmed and Behrendorff were the only ones who managed to get a wicket. This loss also ends Perth's 5-match winning run.
Chasing 164 for the win, the Sixers began on the right note as Justin Avendano and Josh Philippe stitched a 40-run stand but Avendano's problematic stay was cut short soon after. Josh Philippe and James Vince then combined forces to stitch a 106-run stand for the 2nd wicket. Both of them also went past their respective milestones. Just when they were in touching distance of securing a win, they departed in quick succession but Daniel Hughes and Daniel Christian ensured that they get through the line. Though, they lost the Bash Boost Point, they ensured to take the other three points on offer.
A comprehensive win for the Sixers as they take the revenge of the humiliation that they suffered at the hands of Perth in their previous encounter. They would be a happy bunch of players as they complete a handsome win.

Jhye Richardson to Daniel Hughes ,Well bowled. Jhye bowls a yorker on off, Hughes is only able to dig this one out. Looks for the single but is sent back. No worries, Hughes, you still have 8 balls to score the remaining 2 runs.
