Mitchell Marsh is the PLAYER OF THE MATCH. Says that his side was a little bit worried at the start but is happy that they were able to coast home in the end. Says that the Perth Stadium is a lovely place to bat. Adds that Perth have a lovely bowling attack and that they will be back for more. Says that it is a special time back home. Wishes his brother, Shaun Marsh, good luck for his next game.
Earlier in the evening after being put into bat, Scorchers did not get off to a good start. But fifty from Colin Munro and a supreme 57 off just 27 balls from Mitchell Marsh, took them to a match winning total of 183. It proved to be too much for the Sixers. X-Factor Lloyd Pope and Steve O'Kefee were the pick of the bowlers for the Sydney side as they both picked 2 wickets each but it did not matter in the end. Stay on though, as we find out who the Man of the Match is....
A brilliant bowling performance from Perth Scorchers. They finished the first innings strongly with the bat and continued that momentum with the ball. The bowlers came out with clear intent and plan and they stuck to it. Except Aaron Hardie, every bowler was not just in the wickets column, but also very economical (yes, Behrendorff was a little expensive as well, one could say). They hardly gave any freebies to Sixers batsmen. Andrew Tye and Jhye Richardson picked up 4 and 3 wickets respectively.
Chasing 184, Sydney Sixers needed a good start but what they got was completely opposite of that. They were off to a horror start, losing their star performer, Josh Philippe, in the second over. From there on they never got going and kept losing wickets regularly. Barring Jack Edwards, none of the batters arrived, as Perth Scorchers were too hot for them.
A humiliating loss for the Sydney Sixers. The table-toppers have been outplayed, outclassed and completely shredded to pieces by the Scorchers. The Scorchers make it a hat-trick of wins and move up the table while also improving their net run rate.

Andrew Tye to Lloyd Pope ,OUT! CAUGHT! Andrew Tye says it is mine and takes it. He gets 4 wickets. And Scorchers hammer Sydney Sixers at Perth. Shortish length delivery around the off pole, Pope looks to swing that over mid-wicket but ends up getting a top edge. It goes high in the air near the short mid-wicket region. Andrew calls for it, gets under the ball, and takes it. Fascinating performance from Perth Scorchers. THEY WIN BY 86 RUNS!

Andrew Tye to Jackson Bird ,BEATEN! Length delivery outside off, Jackson Bird looked to push that on the off side but the ball goes past his outside edge. It was a lazy attempt from the batter though.

Andrew Tye to Jackson Bird ,FOUR! SHOT! Full and a bit of width on offer, Bird creams it through the covers for a boundary. A beautiful cover-drive.

Jhye Richardson to Lloyd Pope ,Ohh... How has that missed the stumps? Jhye Richardson cannot believe that! He comes round the wicket and bowls a very full ball near the leg pole line, Lloyd Pope backs away and looks to jam it out but misses. Agonizingly near the leg stump that.

Jhye Richardson to Lloyd Pope ,Short length delivery on top of the stumps, Pope, who initially looked to play at it, sways away from the line in the end.

Jhye Richardson to Lloyd Pope ,Very full ball on middle and leg, Lloyd is able to fend it out, for now!
Lloyd Pope is the last man in.

Jhye Richardson to Jake Ball ,OUT! TIMBER! Richardson gets another 3-fer. And Ball is out of here. The end is near. Very full length delivery on the off pole, Jake Ball moves a hint to the leg side and looks to dig it out, towards third man. He though misses and the sticks are shattered. To be frank though, it was a tough ball for a lower-order batsman to play at.
