JASON HOLDER has been named as the PLAYER OF THE MATCH. Well, that's all that we have from this game. The Sixers continue their good form and win their fourth game in a row which sends them to the top of the BBL table whereas the Renegades continue their downward slope and lose their fourth on the trot. The action for the BBL is not done as another game between the Melbourne Stars and the Sydney Thunder is going on at the Manuka Oval. Switch over tabs to catch all the action from that game.
Earlier in the day, a good platform provided by Finch and Marsh at the start with some helpful cameos towards the end, saw the Men in Red stack up 168 on the board. Daniel Christian was the pick of the lot for the Sixers as he was economical and also scalped 2 wickets. Brathwaite, too, picked up 2 wickets but he was expensive. In the end though, the bowling by the 'Gades saw them lose their fourth game in a row. Finch's boys need to go back to the drawing board and will have to strategize again.
The bowling by the Men in Red was good in the middle overs, but at the start and at the end, they were poor. They let the batters of Sixers score freely at the start and the end but tightened the noose in the middle overs. Only Imad Wasim and Kane Richardson were good as they scalped 2 wickets each and was economical whereas the rest of the bowling attack was sent all over the park. Overall, the bowling performance was a let down for the Renegades.
Chasing a total of 169, the Sixers got off to a good start. Edwards and Philippe added 50 runs to the first wicket before Edwards departed. After that, the Renegades did well to keep chipping at the wickets while the Sixers kept adding runs to the board, albeit at a slower pace than what they started off with. Silk and Holder then got a hold and tried attacking the bowling but Silk fell too. With all the hopes being pinned on Holder, he delivered as he scored important runs towards the end and also scored the winning runs.
Phew! Let's just take a breather as this intense game of cricket comes to a close. It looked like the Renegades had all the cards close to their chest and would grab the win but Holder had other plans and he has ensured that the Sixers win their fourth game on the trot.

Kane Richardson to Carlos Brathwaite ,OUT! CAUGHT! Brathwaite holes out and the safe hands of Finch means that Carlos' stay out in the middle comes to a close. A back of a length ball around off, Brathwaite heaves this one but does not get the distance on this. It balloons towards the mid off region where the skipper, Finch settles and takes a great catch.
