D'Arcy Short to Danny Briggs, FOUR! He goes again! Two balls in the same spot, same shot played, same result. This reverse sweep is much finer as compared to the previous one. No dive by the fielder this time.

Nathan Ellis to Wes Agar, OUT! BOWLED! That goes right under. A fiery yorker, right at the base of off stump. Agar backs away, looks to hammer this but misses. The off stump is hit.

13.4
James Faulkner to Daniel Worrall, SIX! CLUNK! What a performance this is from Daniel Worrall. Albeit, in a lost cause. Perhaps, he expected Faulkner to bowl the back-of-the-hand slower ball and just stepped out. Got to the pitch of the ball and slammed it over cover.

13.1
James Faulkner to Peter Siddle, OUT! Caught behind. Third wicket for Faulkner! A length ball, outside off, Siddle throws his bat at it but only manages a thick outside edge. Easy catch for the wicketkeeper, Peter Handscomb.

Riley Meredith to Daniel Worrall, FOUR! Useful runs. A short ball, outside off, Worrall pulls this over mid-wicket and finds the fence again!

12.3
Riley Meredith to Daniel Worrall, FOUR! This is a better shot. On a length, outside off, Worrall punches this in front of cover. D'Aarcy Short gives this a good chase to his right, gets to the ball, looks to pick up and throw but tumbles and the ball goes through. Short gets up pretty gingerly. Hope he is fine.

Riley Meredith to Daniel Worrall, SIX! CLUBBED! Short and outside off, Worrall just slaps it high over cover!

11.3
James Faulkner to Matt Renshaw, OUT! CAUGHT! Renshaw departs now, with Faulkner getting his second wicket. Full and down the leg side, Renshaw looks to flick it to the leg side, more sort of aiming square leg. But he gets more of a leading edge, which mean the ball travels towards deep mid-wicket. The ball goes miles in the air, swirls a bit as well but Macalister Wright makes it look easy.

10.3

Riley Meredith to Rashid Khan, OUT! CAUGHT! Another golden duck for the Strikers. A short ball, outside off, Rashid looks for the pull but the ball is too quick for his liking. Gets a top edge which goes high up in the air. Peter Handscomb, the keeper, runs back, circles under it and takes it near short fine leg. Nicely done.

8.3
Riley Meredith to Matt Renshaw, OUT! Ryan Gibson is indeed short and the Strikers are in disarray at 49/5. A length ball, around leg, Renshaw looks to work this to the leg side but misses and is hit on the pads. Now, he is not sure about the single as the ball has just dropped beside him, in front of the sticks, but Gibson is. He straightaway calls for the run but Meredith is quicker. Quickly gets to the ball and just kicks it onto the stumps. The run out appeal is referred upstairs but Meredith is already sure. And of course, when the replays come, the third umpire hardly takes a minute or two to decide!

Nathan Ellis to Ryan Gibson, FOUR! Top edge. It flies away for a boundary. Short ball, Gibson goes for the pull shot. He though gets a top edge. The ball sails over the keeper's head and goes into the long stop boundary.

Riley Meredith to Jonathan Wells, OUT! LBW! Another shout, another wicket. That is a huge wicket. Jonathan has been a huge star in the BBL over the years. Here, he goes for a golden duck. Fullish ball on middle and leg, Wells looks to work it to the leg side but he misses to get rapped on the pads, right in front of the stumps. Riley appeals fervently for a LBW. This time, the umpire wastes no time in raising the finger.

5.6
Johan Botha to Harry Nielsen, OUT! LBW! Johan has his revenge there. Nielsen was very confused there. Whether to go for the slog sweep or not. Tossed up ball around off and middle, Harry Nielsen gets across and is in 2 state of minds as to whether he should mow a slog sweep or not. In the end, he looks to play it across the line, indecisive still. But he misses and gets rapped on the pads. Johan appeals for a lbw. Nothing good comes that easily, so he keeps appealing and finally, the umpire raises the finger.

Johan Botha to Matt Renshaw, SIX! Oh! That has gone a long way back. Tossed up on off, Matt gets down and lets out a good swing of the bat. Sends it a good distance over deep mid-wicket.

Johan Botha to Harry Nielsen, FOUR! Nielsen gets enough of that alright. Tossed up around off, Harry gets down and mows a slog sweep. Splits the gap between wide long on and deep mid-wicket to perfection.

2.6
James Faulkner to Philip Salt, OUT! TIMBER! James Faulkner knocks over the international. Philip Salt here. The Strikers are losing their way here. 2 wickets down already. Faulkner lands this on a length on off, it pitches and jags back in a little. Philip looks to play at it but ends up missing it completely. The stumps are shattered.

Johan Botha to Jake Weatherald, OUT! CAUGHT! Johan Botha gets the wicket. James Faulkner, takes a beautiful catch. Not the perfect start for Adelaide here. Short ball, Jake rocks back and goes for the pull shot. However, he does not get the timing on it right at all. It goes towards mid on. Faulkner there, dives in front and takes a brilliant catch.
