Follow UsPakistan’s paceman Haris Rauf has responded to a video that has been making the rounds on social media. In it, he is seen confronting some unidentified men somewhere in the USA.
In the video, Rauf was seen strolling with his wife when a fan passed some comment. The 30-year-old lost his cool and rushed towards him. Rauf’s wife did try to stop him but the Pakistan pacer didn’t listen. There was some finger-pointing, pushing and shoving.
Speaking about the incident, Rauf posted: “As public figures, we are open to receiving all kinds of feedback from the public. They are entitled to support or criticize us. Nevertheless, when it comes to my parent and my family, I will not hesitate to respond accordingly. It is important to show respect towards people and their families, irrespective of their professions."
Pakistan failed to qualify for the Super 8s of the 2024 T20 World Cup. The Men in Green lost to the USA and India in their first two games and despite winning against Canada and Ireland, they were knocked out of the competition.
Rauf had a decent tournament with the ball, picking up seven wickets at an average of 14.42 and an economy rate of 6.73.
