Follow UsHayley Matthews was at it again as Barbados Royals defeated Trinbago Knight Riders by seven wickets to register their second win of the Women's Caribbean Premier League (WCPL) 2024.
The Knight Riders lost their first six wickets for just 57 runs before Shikha Pandey (30 off 34) and Zaida James (22 off 18) added 50 runs for the seventh wicket.
Chinelle Henry, Matthews and Amanda-Jade Wellington took two wickets each as the Royals managed to restrict TKR to 113/9.
Skipper Matthews then crafted 67* off 56 deliveries to make sure the Royals got over the line without much fuss. Barbados chased down the total with 17 deliveries to spare.
