Follow UsThe fourth match of the Women’s Caribbean Premier League 2024 between Guyana Amazon Warriors and Trinbago Knight Riders went to the Super Over, with the latter finally winning their first game of the competition.
Asked to bat, Deandra Dottin (38-ball 53) led from the front and took TKR to a fighting score of 128/8. Shikha Pandey (24-ball 25) and wicketkeeper-batter K Knight (22-ball 16) also chipped in with handy cameos down the order.
Erin Burns then scored 61 off 50 in the run chase, but Guyana failed to get the required two runs off the last ball to win the game. The match went to the Super Over, and once again, Dottin made her presence felt.
The right-hander smashed Shabnim Ismail for two sixes before Jemimah Rodrigues got one boundary to set Guyana a target of 20 runs. Jess Jonassen then conceded only five runs and gave TKR their first win of the season.
