LR Chethan was the star of the show as the Bengaluru Blasters pinned Mysore Warriors in match 21 of the Maharaja Trophy 2024, held at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Sunday (August 25).
This 56-run victory pushed the Warriors to the top of the points table as they now have 10 points from seven games, but a better net run rate than Hubli Tigers, who too have 10 points from seven games.
Batting first, the Blasters put 189/7 on the board in their 20 overs, mainly thanks to Chethan’s 53-ball 88. Wicket-keeper batter Suraj Ahuja with 32 was the second-highest scorer for the side. CA Karthik picked 3/33 for the Warriors.
Chasing 190 to win, the Warriors were bundled out for 133 in 17.5 overs. Shubhang Hegde and Kranthi Kumar took three wickets each for the Bengaluru side while Karthik SU (26) top-scored for the Warriors.
