Virat Kohli was not a happy man when he landed at the Melbourne Airport on December 19 (Thursday) for the fourth Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) 2024-25. He had a couple of heated discussions with the reporters, waiting at the airport to get a few of his arrival shots. However, Kohli did not want his children to be filmed, which is something he made clear in his chat with those reporters present at the venue.
However, the Channel 7 reporter present at the venue says that it was just a bit of a misunderstanding. “It was upon seeing the waiting cameras that Kohli became a little heated over what is largely a misunderstanding when he thought the media was filming him with his children,” the reporter was quoted as saying by 7NEWS.
Kohli asked the journalists present to give him privacy, especially when he was with his kids. “With my kids I need some privacy, you can’t film without asking me,” Kohli told the journalists.
Barring his century in the first Test at Perth, Kohli has managed scores of only 5, 7, 11 and 3 in the other four innings. He will hope to turn things around in the fourth Test in Melbourne, which will get underway from December 26 onwards.
