NEWSIndia skipper Virat Kohli on Thursday became the fastest to reach 23,000 runs in international cricket by scoring 50 in the first innings of fourth Test against England.
Kohli, who was dismissed for a keeper catch by Ollie Robinson, reached the milestone in his 490th innings.
Sachin Tendulkar is the leading run-getter in international cricket with 34,357 runs, followed by Kumar Sangakkara (28,016) and Ricky Ponting (27,483).
In 96 Tests, Kohli has scored 13,646 runs, while scoring 13,061 runs from 254 ODIs. The 32-year old has 2,272 runs from 89 T20Is.
Kohli is seventh in the list of all-time highest run-getters, behind Rahul Dravid who has 24,208 international runs.
