After a player of the series performance, Australia's Travis Head moves into the top five of the ICC Test rankings for batsmen for the very first time in his career. Head scored 101 in the fifth Ashes Test in Hobart to rescue his side from a tricky position in the first innings.
Despite missing the fourth Test after testing positive for Covid-19, Head finished the series as the highest-run-getter with 357 runs at 59.50, which included two tons and a fifty. His teammates Cameron Green too jumped 23 places to joint 66th in the all-rounder's list while Scott Boland who finished with 18 wickets at 9.55 moved to 43rd position after picking up four wickets in the Hobart Test.
Elsewhere, latest sensation Keegan Petersen jumped 68 places to 33rd after match-winning scores of 72 and 82 in the third Test against India in Cape Town. He finished with 276 runs in the three-match series and started the series in the 158th position.
Among the Indian contingent, playing his last Test as India skipper, Virat Kohli jumped a couple of spots to seventh position among Test batters, while Rishabh Pant moved to 14th following his century at the Newlands. On the bowling front, fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah moved back to the top 10 after picking up six wickets in the third Test against South Africa.
Also, Ireland off-spinner Andy McBrine played a huge part in his side's 2-1 ODI series win over West Indies that has propelled him to to the 10th position.
