The first edition of the Major League Cricket (MLC) is set to kick-off on July 13 (Thursday), with Dallas and Morrisville chosen as the two venues to host the competition. Morrisville in North Carolina already hosts Minor League Cricket fixtures, with the tournamentβs window being from July 13 to July 30.Β
Four out of the six teams that are part of the inaugural edition are associated with the Indian Premier League (IPL) - Texas Super Kings (CSK), MI New York (MI), Los Angeles Knight Riders (KKR), Seattle Orcas (DC). Washington Freedom and San Francisco Unicorns are the remaining two teams that round up the six-team tournament.Β

Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas and Church Street Park in Morrisville play host to the first edition of the MLC, with the clashes in Dallas from July 13-18 before Morrisville hosts from July 19-26. The playoffs, however, will be played in Dallas from July 27.Β
