Team India finally arrive in Delhi; set to meet PM Narendra Modi

After being stranded in Barbados for three days, India finally made the travel back home on Thursday morning

On Thursday (July 4), the victorious Indian team finally made their much-awaited return to the country. India beat South Africa by seven runs in the final in Barbados on June 29, thereby ending their ICC trophy drought. The Rohit Sharma-led side touched down in Delhi on Thursday morning, with the Men in Blue later set to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi. 

Sanju Samson on Instagram, revealed that the Indian team will be wearing a special edition jersey that says ‘Champions’ on it. In the video posted by BCCI, Jay Shah welcomed the winning captain, Rohit, with a bouquet before the Mumbaikar cut a cake. 

Following this, the Indian team are also set to be on a victory parade in Mumbai later this evening at 5 PM IST, covering NCPA, Nariman Point, to Wankhede Stadium.
