IPL 2025: 3 players who can be impact substitutes for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH)

Sunrisers Hyderabad came up with one of the best strategies in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 auction. Not only did they manage to get great international players, but filled their team with talented young Indian players as well. 

These players will basically fill in for the role of impact substitute as they have great skills which can turn the game around. Conversely, even if they fail in the first innings, they can be replaced in the second easily by other more talented professionals for coverup.  

Here are the top three Indian players that could make great impact substitutes for SRH in IPL 2025. 

Abhinav Manohar 

Bought at a decent price of INR 3.35 Cr, Abhinav Manohar, when in good form, could be a really great talent to bat in the middle and lower middle order. In 42 T20s, Manohar has 729 runs, and recently, in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT) 2024-25, he played powerful knocks of 44* and 66* against Saurashtra and Andhra Pradesh, respectively. 

Manohar has previously shown for Gujarat Titans that he is more than capable of making quick runs. He can replace any bowler, especially in tough chases, to get quick runs in the middle overs or at the death. 

Rahul Chahar

A spin talent, Rahul Chahar might most probably make it to the playing 11 itself. But when he doesn’t, he is the best choice to be an impact player and replace a batter in the second innings. 

During the latter stages of the tournament, when the pitches get slow, Chahar can utilise his experience of 130 T20s, out of which 78 have come in seven seasons of IPL for Mumbai Indians, Punjab Kings, and a now defunct Pune-based franchise.

Though he has not been in greatest of forms in the last two IPL seasons, Chahar has the potential to turn games with his leg spin and can form a deadly pausing alongside Adam Zampa. 

Atharva Taide 

Another talented batter who played for Punjab Kings in the previous season, Atharva Taide, could come into the scheme of things when anyone between Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head has a bad season.

Taide has experience of only nine IPL matches and has played some fantastic quick knocks, including a fifty. At the domestic level, too, the Vidarbha man has been in good form, hitting two fifties and a knock of 44 in his last 10 innings.
